The Magic of the Cities.

Zen promotes the rediscovery of the obvious, which is so often lost in its familiarity and simplicity. It sees the miraculous in the common and magic in our everyday surroundings. When we are not rushed, and our minds are unclouded by conceptualizations, a veil will sometimes drop, introducing the viewer to a world unseen since childhood. ~ John Greer

Quietly / En Silencio

“Happiness is like a butterfly which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.”
(" La felicidad es como una mariposa, cuando la persigues, siempre esta fuera de tu alcance, pero cuando te detienes en silencio, puede posarse sobre ti.") Nathaniel Hawthorne

New York City and Washington series continue in Sketches of Cities.

Delicate butterfly on the heavy shoulder of the urn. Beautiful. I just watched The Diving Bell and The Butterfly yesterday so it is even more moving to see this image today.

Nice photo ... not many butterflies about in England now - we'll have to wait until the Spring.
